I am a Research Fellow at the Machine Learning Genoa Center. I am working on reinforcement learning algorithms for studying animal behaviour in odor navigation tasks. My supervisor is Agnese Seminara.
My research ambition is to use deep reinforcement learning to address fundamental questions in cognitive neuroscience and develop smarter artificial intelligence algorithms.
Previously, I worked on machine learning for high energy physics under the supervision of Lorenzo Rosasco at the University of Genoa. I have been a Summer Student at CERN, working with Thomas Owen James and Emilio Meschi. I also interned at the National Research Council of Italy, working on deep learning for computer vision with Vito RenĂ² and Rosalia Maglietta.
